Cray and Sharks and Painting! Oh My!

So sorry my friends...we dont actaully have the internets down at Casa Biggo or Casa Smallo, so, when we have to use the computer we have to run down to Bryce and Joy's....anyhow....
I actaully have to be rather quick here too becasue we are about to eat some dinner. Michael has cooked the famous Piazza family spudini, I made a big ol huge salad and my dad made some cray medallions...yummo!
Here is a quick update and I will try to post photos and more stuff tomorrow....
we did some big fishing the other day and Michael caught a blue nose shark, along with some Gurnad...I caught quiet a few fish myself as did my dad and Bryce...who also caught himself a shark....we did not keep these my friends....I promise.
Alright...thats all I can hang with tonight...Im bushed. I scrapped the bathroom paint all freaking day in Biggo...Micahel water blated the outside and my dad ran around chatting the numbers in bwetween doing everything else imaginable.
Phew! Im tired! I need a vacay!
oh and by the way...the fellas have been going out every single am and getting the cray pots....life isnt too bad right now.
We love and miss every single one of you.
xx

Kia Ora!

Well here we are on our 2nd full day in New Zealand. We've been busy laying around soaking up the sun, pulling cray pots (thats lobster pots for us yankees), riding bikes and scooters and doing a little work here and there on the big house.
Our good family friend Carole has been staying with us and tending to us like mama hen...her daughter Amuri will be joining us on Friday when she takes her Summer break from school...good thing we have the Big House for everyone to camp in.
Right now, we are just down the road a bit at Bryce and Joy's using their computer so we dont have much time...we also have to get back to work or no cray for us for dinner.
We will catch up again in a few days and give you all the ghood scoop from the Land of the Long White Cloud...until then, here are a few photos to tide you over....Enjoy!

Wholy Guacamole...Or Is It Wholy Sheep?

So here we are just one sleep away from our big adventure! We are just jumping out of our skins to get there! As I said before, we are packed and ready to go...with a few minor adjustsments...ahem. My dad, per usual, gave us a heap of stuff to pack for him because he couldnt fit it in his 2 bags and let me also clue you into the fact that the weight limit is 50lbs...he parted with a clutch (yeah, a clutch, for a car!) a bunch of deodorants and a extention cord, just to name a few things. Hes outta his mind.
Mike and I tra-la-la-ed on over to Kinkos after repacking our bags this morning to see what kind of weight limits WE were dealing with...Mike's bag was 50.33 lbs and mine was 59lbs, thank you very much. Needless to say, our bags will be arriving in New Zealand minus a few of my dads wares. hahaha! Dont tell him, maybe he wont remember what he had given us...yeah right!
Anyhow, we have been running around town (and LA) like chickens with our heads cut off and I, personally, am looking forward to that long unplugged flight. Hopefully there will be no screaming children or mimis and my flying anxiety wears off fairly quickly! Please pray for us...
I must get to signing off now as I still have about 20 million things left to do...next time we will be writting you from the majestic lands of Aeteroa.

Numero Uno

Stardate November 23, 2008...and the countdown has begun. Oh, who am I kidding? The countdown started MONTHS ago!

We are currently at T-Minus 11 days and we are all packed! Those of you who know me well know that this packing business started weeks ago, so this should be no surprise.

New Zealand happens to be my favorite place on Earth, my home away from home, my dad's homeland, and I also get to see my New Zealand family, most of whom I haven't seen in about 2 years.
Needless to say, we are very excited but mostly I am excited to share this experience with Michael, because he has "never been off of the continent"...it will be a whole new and amazing adventure for him.

So, please join us on our journey to the other side of the world and back...and dont forget to leave us some love...for those of you who have never "blogged" before, there is a comment section at the end of each and every blog.  Click the link and lay some words down on computer for us.
